1. Acceptance of this agreement
This Driver Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Etherion Technologies PLC, operator of ZOPP ("ZOPP", "we", "us"). By registering as a driver, completing verification, or accepting deliveries through the ZOPP Driver app, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the Driver app.
2. Independent contractor relationship
You provide delivery services as an independent contractor, not as an employee, agent, or partner of ZOPP. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, joint-venture, or agency relationship. You decide when to go online and which available deliveries to accept, you provide your own vehicle and equipment, and you are responsible for your own costs (such as fuel, maintenance, data, and insurance) and for your own taxes and any required licenses or permits.
3. Eligibility and onboarding
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this Agreement.
- You must hold a valid driving licence and any registration required for your vehicle type (bicycle, motorcycle, bajaj, car, van, or as supported), and operate safely and lawfully.
- You must complete onboarding in the app, including providing accurate personal details and uploading the required documents (such as your licence and identification).
- Your account becomes active only after ZOPP review and approval. We may approve, decline, or request additional information at our discretion, and may re-verify documents at any time.
4. Your driver account
You sign in with your phone number and a PIN; ZOPP does not offer third-party social logins. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your PIN and device secure. Your account is personal to you — you may not let anyone else use it to accept or perform deliveries. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
5. Accepting and performing deliveries
When you are online, you may see available delivery offers. Accepting an offer is your choice. Once you accept, you agree to collect the order from the vendor and deliver it to the customer with reasonable care and within a reasonable time. You agree to follow in-app instructions, including collection and proof-of-delivery steps, one-time-code (OTP) confirmation where required, and age or identity checks for age-restricted or regulated goods. Do not open, tamper with, or consume items in an order. You may decline or return an order in the cases the app allows.
6. Earnings and commission
For deliveries you complete, you earn the applicable delivery earnings shown in the app. ZOPP retains a service commission, and the remaining amount — together with 100% of any customer tips — is credited to your in-app earnings balance. Current commission and fee rates are shown in the app and may change from time to time; material changes will be reflected in the app before they apply to new deliveries.
7. Payouts
- You can withdraw your available balance to a supported mobile-money method — such as M-Birr, HelloCash, TeleBirr, or Amole — from the Earnings screen.
- A minimum withdrawal amount applies (currently 100 ETB). Withdrawals are subject to identity and fraud checks and to your account being in good standing.
- You are responsible for providing correct payout details. ZOPP is not responsible for funds sent to an incorrect account you provided.
8. Taxes and TIN
You are responsible for your own taxes on the income you earn through ZOPP. In line with Ethiopian law, ZOPP may withhold tax on withdrawals at or above a threshold (currently 10,000 ETB per withdrawal). If you have registered a Tax Identification Number (TIN) and it has been verified, the reduced withholding rate (currently 3%) applies; without a verified TIN, the standard rate (currently 30%) applies to those withdrawals. You can submit your TIN in the app for verification. Thresholds and rates are set by law and shown in the app, and may change.
9. Security deposit
Depending on your vehicle type or program, ZOPP may require a refundable security deposit before you can accept certain deliveries. Where a deposit applies, its amount and refund conditions are shown in the app. A deposit may be applied toward amounts you owe ZOPP (for example, for goods collected but not delivered) as permitted by law, and any remaining balance is refundable when you leave the platform in good standing.
10. Conduct and standards
You agree to act professionally and lawfully, including: driving safely and obeying traffic laws; treating customers, vendors, and ZOPP staff with respect; not harassing, threatening, or discriminating against anyone; not providing false information; not manipulating earnings, ratings, or incentives; and not using the app for any unlawful purpose. You must comply with all rules for age-restricted and regulated goods. Repeated low performance or breaches of these standards may affect your access to deliveries.
11. Location and data
While you are online or on an active delivery, the app collects your precise location — including when the app is closed or not in use — to offer nearby deliveries, support navigation, share live status with customers, and help resolve disputes. We handle your information as described in our Privacy Policy. You agree to the collection and use of location and delivery data for these purposes.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop driving and delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account) or at zopp.app/delete-account, subject to completing any active deliveries and settling any amounts owed. We may suspend or terminate your access — including for safety risks, fraud, document or verification problems, breach of this Agreement, or as required by law. Where practical and lawful, we will tell you the reason. On termination, you remain entitled to earnings properly due to you, subject to applicable checks, deductions, and your provision of valid payout details.
13. Disclaimers, liability, and governing law
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZOPP is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from your vehicle, your conduct, or the acts or omissions of customers and vendors. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have under law.
